I always loved football, but because I was committed to soccer, I never had the chance to play. Kicking provided a way for me to be a part of football. I love the position. A lot of people fear the pressure of making important kicks, but after a few game-winners, I've learned how to keep my cool and actually enjoy the moment. My senior season, I was plagued with a quad strain, and decided to play through it. It was difficult, but I still managed to help my team. However, the injury also made me realize how much I actually enjoy playing. I would love the opportunity to continue my football career in college and make a meaningful impact as a player and teammate. Outside of performing as a kicker, I learned the value of teamwork and family. They accepted me as a brother on the team, and I became one to them. Just because I'm a kicker does not mean I'm unlike anyone else in the locker room. I'll make hits. I'll do the work. I'll pep up the spirits of my teammates and celebrate with the team. I realize that it's not enough to be on the team. To have true success, you have to be part of the team. And that's what I look foreword to continuing to be a part of- a brotherhood that has each others' backs on and off the field.
