Mike Dorsey #8
QB/SS
6'2" 195lbs
Class of 2010

2007 Sophomore year Highlights

by David Baugh
Mike Dorsey reminds me of a lot of Sidney Glover, a 2007 graduate of Warren Harding who currently plays football for the Mountaineers of West Virginia.  Like Glover, Dorsey is a versatile athlete who has the tools to be a solid contributer on offense, but his biggest value is on the defensive side of the ball.  His hard running style should give him some looks at tailback, but that same running style and nose for the ball has made him a force as a strong safety.

The one significant difference is that between the former and current aforementioned Raiders is that Dorsey will enter his junior season measuring at 6'2, 205 pounds.  Combined with his overall game, his size has helped him gain some early interest from several top Division 1 programs, including Ohio State.  This past June, Dorsey impressed the Buckeye's coaching staff when he participated in drill at Ohio State's advanced senior camp.  If he follows it up with an impressive ten to fifteen weeks on the field this fall, he could potentially find himself with an offer before his senior season.
